Materials

Materials are used to enchant artifacts with new bonuses. Materials fall into multiple categories depending on what kind of bonus they add to the artifact.

Common Materials

Common materials add base stats to an item, such as Maximum Health or Defense. In the Materials menu, common materials have a brown icon. You need 5 of a common material to add it to an artifact.

Uncommon Materials

Uncommon materials add non-stat bonuses to an Artifact, such as inflicting a debuff on hit or increasing your damage to a class of monster. In the Materials menu, uncommon materials have a blue icon. You need 3 of an uncommon material to add it to an Artifact.

Legendary Materials

Legendary materials add a trait from a monster to the artifact, which grants that trait to the wielding monster. In this way, monsters can have 2 active traits: The trait they have based on their monster type a trait from their artifact. In the Materials menu, legendary materials have a yellow icon. Artifacts may not have more than one creature trait added to them.
